[단독] 구글러시아지사 , 러시아에서 파산신청하고 철수한다.
미국 지디넷은 지난 19일(현지시간) 구글러시아지사가 러시아 정부의 자산 압류 조치에 따라 현지 법인이 파산 신청 절차를 밟고 철수 준비를 하고 있다고 보도했다.
구글은 러시아의 우크라이나 침공 이후 현지서 대부분의 비즈니스를 중단하면서 광고 사업과 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스 판매를 중단했다. 유튜브의 경우에도 러시아 국영 미디어 관련 채널의 접근을 차단해왔다.
이에 보복성 조치로 러시아 당국이 구글의 은행계좌 압류하면서 현지 임직원 급여와 거래처 대금 지급을 못하게 됐다.
이것이 파산 신청을 통한 사업 철수의 주된 이유이고 이로인해 러시아에서 근무하던 직원들도 다른 국가의 구글지사로 보직이동 중에있다.
구글은 향후 러시아에서 사업 철수에도 검색엔진, 유튜브, 지메일, 구글맵, 안드로이드, 구글플레이 등의 무료 서비스는 계속 지원한다는 방침이다.

The U.S. GD net reported on the 19th (local time) that Google's Russian branch is preparing to withdraw after a local corporation has filed for bankruptcy following the Russian government's asset seizure.
Google stopped selling its advertising business and cloud computing services after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, stopping most of its business there.
YouTube has also blocked access to Russian state media-related channels.
As a result, Russian authorities seized Google's bank account as a retaliatory measure, preventing local executives and employees from paying their customers.
This is the main reason for the withdrawal of business through bankruptcy applications, which has led to employees working in Russia being transferred to Google offices in other countries.
Google plans to continue to support free services such as search engines, YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, Android, and Google Play even after withdrawing from Russia in the future.
