• 서울시, 세계 최대 미디어 아트 선보인 DDP 시니어·반려견 패션쇼 연다

  [GEN - 주한외국기업뉴스] 서울의 가을밤을 빛으로 수놓은 '서울라이트 DDP 2025 가을'이 성대한 막을 내렸다. 서울시가 주최하고 서울디자인재단이 주관한 이번 서울라이트는 8월 28일부터 9월 7일까지 동대문디자인플라자(DDP) 전역에서 펼쳐졌다. 총 11일간 약 61만 명의 관람객이 다녀간 이번 서울라이트 DDP는 관람객 만족도 조사에서도 96%의 긍정 평가를 기록해 글로벌 문화축제로서의 입지를 재확인했다. 특히 올해 ‘서울라이트 DDP’는 기네스 세계 기록에서 “세계 최대 비정형 건축물 3D 맵핑 디스플레이”로 등재되며, 세계 최대 규모의 미디어아트 플랫폼으로서 예술성과 기술성은 인정받았다. 주제는 ‘EVERFLOW: 움직이는 장(場)’으로, 세계적인 미디어 아티스트들이 참여해 DDP 외벽과 미래로 다리를 빛으로 수놓았다. 먼저 프랑스 개념미술가 로랑 그라소는 태양풍과 천체 현상을 시각화한 ‘Solar Wind’, 수많은 눈이 등장하는 디지털 애니메이션 ‘Panoptes’로 과학과 예술의 경계를 허물었다. 디스트릭트는 ‘Eternal Nature’를 통해 DDP 외벽에서 자연의 물성과 에너지를 디지털 기술로 재해석했고, 아카 창은 미래로 다리 하부 공간에서 전례 없는 레이저 아트를 선보였다. OpenAI와 협업한 최세훈과 티모 헬거트의 Sora(소라)를 활용한 AI 기반 미디어아트도 큰 화제를 모았다. 엔하이픈(ENHYPEN)의 정원과 제이크가 참여한 국·영문 오디오가이드로, 관람객들은 작품 해설을 들으며 몰입형 경험을 즐겼다. 관람객들은 “DDP 건물의 곡선이 정말 파도가 치는 느낌이 들었다”, “마치 그리스 신전에 있는 듯한 몽글몽글한 기분이다”라는 반응을 드러냈고, “양쪽의 레이저 선들이 포그와 어울어지며 작품을 완성되는 순간이 너무 멋지다”며 레이저 전시에 대한 황홀감을 드러내기도 했다. 행사 기간 열린 ‘서울라이트 DDP 포럼’은 ‘AI 기술이 만들어낸 새로운 예술과 세상’을 주제로 전문가들이 토론을 이어가며 만족도 99%를 기록했다. 이 기세는 이색 패션쇼로 이어진다. 먼저 9월 14일 오후 1시부터 DDP(동대문디자인플라자)에서는 반려견과 함께하는 제로웨이스트 패션쇼 '댕댕 런웨이'를 연다. 더 이상 입지 않는 옷과 새활용 소재로 제작된 창의적인 의상을 입고 반려견과 함께 런웨이를 걸으며 지속가능한 패션의 무한한 가능성을 선보일 예정이다. 이날 무대에 오를 옷들은 올여름 ‘2025 제로웨이스트 솔버톤’에 참여한 대학생과 특성화고 학생의 손끝에서 태어난 작품으로 차세대 디자이너의 환경 의식, 창의성이 어우러진 옷을 선보인다. 패션쇼의 마지막은 나와 우리집 댕댕이의 닮은 꼴을 겨루는 콘테스트로 마련된다. 우리집 댕댕이를 뽐내고 싶은 누구나 참여가 가능하며 DDP홈페이지 또는 서울새활용플라자 홈페이지를 통해 신청할 수 있다. 같은 날 오후 7시, DDP 어울림광장에서는 시니어 세대와 시민이 함께하는 '펫션 is 패션 서울시니어패션쇼'가 열린다. 주제는 “시니어, 클래식과 트렌디의 아름다움을 넘나들다”이다. 김칠두, 강진영, 우지원, 윤준호 등 국내 대표 시니어 모델들이 런웨이에 오르고, 포튼가먼트 · 바이모노 · 블라뱅 · 베터카인드 등 다양한 브랜드가 클래식부터 트렌디까지 다채로운 스타일을 선보인다. 무대 밖 프로그램도 풍성하다. 시민들이 직접 참여하는 ‘패션 컨설팅’, ‘메이크업 솔루션’, 런웨이 체험이 마련되고, 동대문 상권과 연계한 패션 브랜드 홍보·판매 공간도 운영된다. 모든 프로그램은 무료로 제공되며 동대문 지역 패션·문화 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 차강희 서울디자인재단 대표이사는 “DDP는 디자인을 기반으로 예술과 기술, 그리고 시민 참여가 어우러진 글로벌 문화 플랫폼”이라며 “외형적 성과에 머무르지 않고 앞으로도 혁신적인 전시와 이색 행사 그리고 국제 네트워크로 서울의 창의적 역량을 세계에 알리는 허브가 될 것”이라고 말했다.

• 산업부, 외국인 투자 도착률 제고를 위한 'FDI 이행지원단' 발족 및 Kick-off 회의 개최

  [GEN - 주한외국기업뉴스] 산업통상자원부는 9월 4일 무역보험공사에서외국인투자기업, KOTRA, 서울특별시, 국토교통부, 충청남도, 인천항만공사 등이 참석한 가운데 'FDI 이행지원단' 발족식 및 킥오프 회의를 개최했다. 'FDI 이행지원단'은 외국인 투자가 신속하게 이행될 수 있도록 투자 프로젝트별로 투자 신고 이후 도착까지 전 과정을 밀착 관리하면서 이행상의 애로사항을 조기에 발굴하고 지원하기 위해 마련됐다. 4일 킥오프회의에서는 국내 투자 의향을 밝힌 외국인 투자기업 4개사가 참석하여 입지 애로, 입주 제한 해제, 인센티브 지원 등 국내 투자과정에서 겪는 어려움과 요청사항을 공유하고, 해당 애로사항과 관련된 부처, 지자체, 기관 등과 해결방안을 심도 있게 논의했다. 유법민 투자정책관은 “'FDI 이행지원단'을 통해 관련 부처‧기관 등과 협력하여 외국인 투자기업들이 국내 투자과정에서 겪는 애로사항을 적극발굴하고 해소해나가며 외투기업들이 정부에 신고한 계획대로 투자를 원활히 이어나갈 수 있도록 긴밀히 소통하고 지원해나갈 예정”이라고 강조했다. 산업부는 이번 회의를 시작으로 'FDI 이행지원단'운영을 통해 외국인 투자기업이 투자과정에서 겪는 애로사항을 적극 해소함으로써 국내에 안정적으로 안착할 수 있도록 범정부 차원의 지원을 강화할 예정이며, 기업이 제기하는 현장의 목소리를 적극 반영하여 외국인 투자 환경 개선과 투자 확대를 견인해나갈 계획이다.

• [Exclusive] Foreign Companies Association in Korea (KOFA) Survey on Perception of "Yellow Envelope Bill": A survey of CEOs and HR managers of foreign-invested companies on the amendments to the Trade Union Act (Articles 2 and 3) found that 64.4% said it

  Amidst intense conflicts between the ruling and opposition parties, six major domestic economic organizations, and North American and European economic chambers and labor groups in Korea, the so-called "Yellow Envelope Bill" (amendments to Articles 2 and 3 of the Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act) passed the National Assembly on the 24th with 183 votes in favor, marking its first passage in 20 years. The Foreign Investment Companies Association in Korea [KOFA] conducted an anonymous perception survey on the Yellow Envelope Bill targeting representatives and HR managers of the Korean subsidiaries of 100 foreign-invested companies. The results indicated a somewhat more negative than positive perception. This survey focused more on Article 3, which reasonably adjusts liability for damages caused by industrial action, rather than on Article 2(2) concerning the expansion of the definition of "employer" or Article 2(5) regarding decisions on business operations. < Yellow Envelope Bill - Basic Survey Data > The industries represented in this first survey were General Manufacturing (13.9%), Semiconductors (8.9%), Pharmaceuticals (8.9%), and Specialty Chemicals (7.9%). The regions of the respondents' parent companies were Europe (53.5%), North America (U.S.) (22.8%), and Asia (21.8%). By sales revenue, the respondents were: under KRW 10 billion (19.8%), KRW 30-50 billion (22.8%), over KRW 200 billion (20.8%), KRW 50-100 billion (16.8%), and KRW 100-200 billion (13.9%).By number of employees, the respondents were: 100-300 employees (27.7%), under 30 employees (23.8%), 300-500 employees (16.8%), 50-100 employees (12.9%), and over 1000 employees (7.9%). < Responses to Questions on Article 3 >In single-response questions regarding Article 3: On the clause limiting liability for damages: (Positive 7%, Neutral 46%, Negative 47%) On the clause expanding protection for strike participants: (Positive 40%, Neutral 16%, Negative 44%) On the clause limiting civil liability for illegal strikes: (Positive 30%, Neutral 20%, Negative 50%) (Source: Foreign Investment Companies Association in Korea, KOFA) < Anticipated Impact on Business Operations in Korea > < Risk Management Concerns > < Impact on Future Investment Plans > < Expert Opinions from Respondents >An HR expert who responded stated, “Beyond the issue of subcontracting, Article 2 of the Yellow Envelope Bill presents anticipated problems as it involves infringement on essential management rights and limitations on claiming damages.” The head of a European manufacturing company's Korean subsidiary expressed, “While companies with existing unions or frequent labor disputes will inevitably be sensitive, those without unions or labor-management issues are not yet at the stage of considering withdrawal or reduction.” Other opinions included, “The proposal of the bill based on ILO recommendations is viewed very positively, and it seems positive from an ESG perspective regarding preemptive responses.” < Context from Previous Data >According to a 2022 national policy research portal report surveying 303 foreign-invested companies, 58 companies (19.1%) reported having a labor union. It was also reported that GM Korea (a U.S. automaker) has 276 primary subcontractors in Korea, a figure that rises to 3,000 when including secondary and tertiary suppliers. Conversely, most foreign-invested companies outside sectors like automobiles, electronics, semiconductors, and specialty chemicals are small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that operate labor-management councils instead of unions. Many foreign startups that have recently entered Korea have fewer than 5 employees, making them exempt from certain labor laws. There is still no official statistics on subcontracting practices among small and medium-sized foreign-invested companies. < Follow-up Survey Plans >KOFA (Representative Kim Jong-chul) announced that a follow-up survey, focusing on Article 2(2) regarding the expansion of the "employer" definition and Article 2(5) on business management decisions, is scheduled for late August.The specific survey items will include: A perception survey on key labor policies proposed by the new government, including awareness levels and overall evaluation. An overall evaluation of the proposed 4.5-day work week (without wage reduction), reasons for positive/negative evaluations, and planned responses.
